October Catch Up

I am sad to say that blogging has been very hard for me to do lately. I am sure I have said why in previous posts but I will say it again so you don't give up on me and try to motivate me... I just have a busy 1 year old (yes he is 1 now) who does not give me much time to myself. And when I do get time to myself, I use it for other things. Lately its been in the basement (we are almost done). But I will do better from here on out. It feels good to share my life with the internet world. I don't really know why.

With all the holidays these past few months there has been a lot going on and I just have to share pictures of my boy because he grows and changes so much and I want to share with you how amazing he is, and want you to get excited with me.

 

Max was a super Hero for Hallaween. James took him around to 2 or so houses. Max of cours, didn't really care for the Hallaween thing. Later that night we went to my sisters house and played games. We put all the kids down and really partied. hahaha, if scrabble is considered a party.

It isn't halloween without taking your kids to the pumpkin walk. This is my sister, there kids and Max and I in front of something. Again, Max didn't care to be there but he had fun being with his cousins. He is a people person. Not with loud and busy people. Those people scare him. He is sheltered in my quiet boaring house from any thing crazier then me and James wig.

 

WE also got to play in some leafs that were in our yard. Our trees are not to big so we don't get a lot of leafs. Max found it interesting.

This is the video of Max loving the new rug. This was a one time deal. He could care less about it now. But it sure was funny.

Too Much Paint!

I have had a lot of time to myself (hopefully not for long) like I said in the last post and I do a lot of silly things. This post is about the silly time I spilt 1 gallon of dark blue paint on my tan carpet while James was gone. I still run the situation through my head as to how it happen and I don't know. I know that I put the paint in my room because I am in the process of painting my bathroom but not all the way done. So it was me who did not put the lid on all the way, that I did not mean to do. But how it tipped over I have no idea. Max and I were both in the room with the paint. I was making the bed, Max was doing his usually run around the house playing with anything that he comes in contact with. so it could of been him but I think it was to heavy for him to tip over. And I am sure he would be playing in it if he saw that paint. I don't remember touching or kicking the bucket. I think I would remember because it is mostly full and would be heavy enough for me to touch it. I just don't know what happen.
So here is how it happen. I just happen to look to the wall and saw my paint was tipped over and had run all over my floor. I had no idea where to begin with this one. The day before JAmes and I bought some cheep towells at WalMart that where on sale and grabbed those and started to slop up the paint. Max by then had noticed that cool color from under the towells and started to help me (not very helpful). I would soak up what I could then rinse it off but as you know paint it doesn't just wash out, it slowly bleeds out. So I did that for a little while and tried to keep Max away from the paint... Then I had an idea to call my friend Gentri (who saved my life). She was coming over for dinner and I asked if she would come a little earlier to watch Max. The great person she is gladly came and helped me out. Infact she helped me out a ton. She was barrowing her Moms steam cleaner which she let me barrow. That thing saved me hours and hours of soaking and rinsing. I don; know what I would of done without her.
Well after a lot of steam cleaning I got a lot of the paint out but not all of it. That would be impossible. But now I have a big blue stain on my carpet. We never did like our carpet so it gives us more motivation to replace it.But that isn't going to be for another several years. I fixed my carpent problem with a green rug. It sits off center in my room but it looks a lot better then it did. The best part of it was Max. When he saw that rug,he fell in love with it. He was rubbing, patting, lying on, cralwing all over that thing. He would not get off it. I have a funny video that I will try to post later.

 

The floor after I steam cleaned it. It did a great job cleaning the floor but I found one flaw, it moves the paint around. It sits so close to the floor that it would smear the paint. But believe me it did more good then bad.

Ouch!!

James has been spending a lot of time on travel for work lately which leaves Max and I home to party by ourselves. The first day of James extensive traveling saga Max got stung by a bee except I didn't know what happen.... Here is the story.
Max was on the floor by the kitchen table being surper good. I didn't here a peep out of him while I was making us dinner. Then out of no where I hear him scream and I could tell this was a bad scream. I ran to him, did a breif look around to see what happen but I saw nothing. So I was confused as to what had just happen. He wasn't crawling around. I didn't hear him hit anything. He was just sitting there... Anyway, he was squrming in my arms like he was in a lot of pain but I had no idea where this pain was coming from and where it was hurting him. I did a search of his body to see if I could see it but had no such luck. So we walked around and I tried to distract him with water, didn't work. Food, didn't work. Outside, that didn't work as well. So I knew he was in some majore pain but I still dind't know where. So after that much I took him in the living room and we sat down. I noticed that he was touching one of his hands so I took a better look and saw his right arm was turning red and his fingures were slightly blue. that was when I started to get worried. I had all those worse possible situations run though my head. So I finally decided to take him to instacare because I wanted to be better safe then sorry. He cried the whole way there which I was glad the know he was still alive. By the time we got there his arm and hand where back to normal but his thumb was swollen. At this time I knew he was going to be ok but decided to take him anyways just to be safe... The Dr. said he looked ok (but his thumb of course) and just keep an eye on it to make sure its not an infection. When we got home we ate dinner and just relaxed. It didn't take me long to notice the dead bee on my floor right by the table leg, which is why I could not see it. Which is why Max's thumb was swollen becasuse he tried to grab it. So we ate dinner in peace knowing that everything was going to be ok, and Max went to bed and boy did he deserve a good nights rest.
So I survived my first health scare with Max and withough James. I hope he is here for the next one. I want to take a long break from those and I know I have many more to look forward to. That doesn't sound to fun. I hope this being a parent thing gets easier :)

Lake Powell 2009

I know I am a sloppy blogger now but I am going to do better, starting with my trip to lake powell last month. It was amazing. Having a baby didn't stop us from going. Next year will be a different story when I have 1 1/2 year old running around. We will have to leave him at home. But I am ok with that.... Max did great there. He loves water so he loved his vacation. We put him in a little floaty and let his swim with us. little did he know that there was 200ft of water below him. He slept like a champ, and he was a great little guy besides the whole mama's boy. There is nothing better then vacationing with the people you love.

 

A group of us went for a short hike. This is my brother in law and I on top of some rocks. That was pretty much the end of it. But there were some strang bushes with 2 inch balls that had spikes on them that really hurt when you brushed by them. They were all over the trail.

Max being the good eater that we WAS with James. He is getting picky now.

Lake Powell II

 

About the last night we stay at Powell we play a game called "Bouie Ropin" off the back of the boat. This is James with his "Diaper", another phrase we use for an upside down life jacket. We put the bouie between our legs, grab onto the roap in the front and jump off the back and hope you can stay on after you jump in. The winner is the person who stay's on the bouie the longest. Its a really fun game. I think we had some wrong size bouies because this time it wasn't to complicated.

 

James water skiing. Since I have Mama's boy and could not leave his sight, James and I had to be seperated anytime we wanted to do something like skiing. So thanks to my Amazing cousin Cami she helped us out with the pictures.

 

My dad and I. When Cami and I where in the boat with him he said "remind me I can't go fast." I replied with "why not?" He said "Because I think its fun and I don't want to scare you." haha I liked that. I told him to go fast because we liked it. And no we were not scared.

Happy 5 Years

James and I have been married 5 years today. I can't believe how fast time has flown by and I hear it only speeds by faster. I still feel like we just got married last year.

- Finished school (both of us)
- Bought a new car
- 1 car accident
- Traveled North, East, South and West
- 6 Jobs between the 2 of us
- Survived Pregnancy (both of us)
- Bought our first home
- Ate 1020 cookies
- Drank 195 gallons of milk
- Love our Fun happy Adorable 8 month old baby Max
- Realized birds are scary (James)
- Love Spending time with each other

5 years later we visited Brian head and thier I am again at the sign but this time with Max. How our lives have changed.

 

Our wedding day. What a great day it was. I just wish that day went by slower so I could enjoy it longer. I should pull out my wedding dress and see if it still fits.

Where has July gone?

I am sad to say that I have not written much these past few weeks and I apologize. My blog has turned into one of those blogs that no one wants to check because you know there is nothing new. hahaha. Well I am working on it.
This is an up date on the month of July since is flew past us in a hurry. And I will have more to share soon. If I spread it out then it will keep people more interested.

Cousin Jace and Max playing together, one of many more to come I am sure. Max sure loves to go visit his cousins on the other side of the mountain. They keep him entertained and they are so good to him. He sure loved this car ride he got. He would of sat in it all day. I think he thought he was really driving it. I am not sure if I should buy one now. Any Advice?

 

Max's "Money" outfit from his favorit cousine one removed, Emy. She always brings back cool gifts from Japan. Max loved wearing this outfit. His new prefered style now days is nothing at all so the less he wears the happier he is. And he knew he was wearing this in style.

 

Aunt Katy and Max. I don't have many picture of her holding him since she has a baby the same age that she can hold. So I take advantage of these pictures opportuities. And in case you can't tell I did get a lot of time with my family this past month. I just love families. James and I are so lucky to have so great families that love us and spoil and care for us.

Where has July gone?

 

Party Time with Greens. Hentri had a very graceful leap, while James and Geebsdove for the ball over and over. This all made us laugh. I guess its one of those things where you had to be there to appriciate it.

 

Pre baby shower fun at Peggy's house. Mom, Aunt Peggy, Katy, Alaina, and Max before going to Renae's (my Cousin's wife, which I am so EXCITED for.) baby shower. I am kind of bummed that I didn't get a picture of her.

James finally got his big tv and blue ray player. IT catches Max's eye when its on. It catches mine as well. I don't dare watch the news for 10 minutes because I feel like I am at the movie theater and have to stay for at least 1 1/2 hours. This gave James more motivation to finish the basment/TV room.

Why my life has Changed for the better

Max is starting to get old for a baby and its kind of sad. I have loved every minute of this so far. Well, I think I could ask for more sleep that first little bit but thats over with... Anyways, I just want to share a few of the things Max has discovered because its so exciting for me to see and I have to share my excitement.
1. He has his first chomper (AKA tooth).
2. An Awesome eater with his baby food. He just giggles now when I feed him. This is really new.
3. Can wave to us.
4. Gets so excited when go places with lots of people.
5. Talks and talks and talks and talks. You should hear him in church.
6. Wakes up talking to himself.
7. Is a good little sleeper now and has been for 2 or so months.
8. Love to go outside. Loves everything about it. He is always pulling up the grass and eating it.
9. Starting to pull himself up to things.
10. He loves me so much! He is always looking for me when I am not close. He surly knows who I am, his Mom.

6 Months!!

Time is really flying by right now. well, I actually think its been flying by for the past 10 years now, but right now I really want it to slow down.
Max went to the Dr yesterday for his 6 month check up. He was so happy. He started to talking to the Dr. the second he walked in. The Dr. gave him an alligator to suck on while he did his stuff which made Max fall even more in love with him.

Wight- 17lbs 1oz/ 50%
Height- 26 3/4 / 75% ( this is funny because this is exactly what he weighed last time. He didn't grow a hair in 2 months. haha. No wonder he is looking chunky.

I am so glad to have a healthy little boy. Now I need to keep it that way. Do you think I can?

St George Vacation

We recently got back from our trip to St George. My Grandpa has a winter home down there that we get to use. Its just the right size for a vacation. Its close to everything like a movie theater, grocery store, and has a pool. Thats what we like the best. Its very convinent with a baby to go there. James could be off with on his bike ride and I would stay home with Max. Then I would go shopping and James would stay with Max. Thats mostly what we did. Every night I went to the Movies since its just a few feet away James would go durring the day. It was so much fun. Its been a while since I've done that. I saw Star Trek, Angels and Demon, and Night at the Museum. And I loved them all.

 

Max at I think its cald city squar or something. They had those fountins you could run through which we didn't do. And a little river pond thing you can walk though. We did do that. It was very refreshing since its was about 100 degrees.

 

Max and I at they say is a ghost town. but it wasn't really anything much. I have this thing with ghost towns now. I wanted to see one so bad. In this picture Max is sticking his toung out. ITs his new discovery. ITs hilarious to watch.

Max is his floaty which he loved! He loves the pool. HE instanly start to spash and laugh at himself. We went to the pool everyday. It was so much fun.

St Georg Vacation II

My Grandpas house that we stayed at. Its just perfect for vacations. But I am not sure I could live there like my Grandpa does all winter. It can start to feel tight fast.

Happy Birthday to Me!

I just recently celebrated my birthday and boy was it fun. I just love my birthday! James went to the mall with me and we at candy, went out to dinner and rented a movie. I loved it. He even made my breakfast and did the dishes from our boating the day before. (I forgot to take pictures of that day). I got lots of birthday phone calls, emails and messages. My friend Gentri broght lunch to Max and I (Thank You, Yum Yum). My Mom and Dad came up and made dinner while we went boating with my brothers family. And we went to Ogden to James brothers house for Sunday dinner to celebrate birthdays. Such a good weekend.
