Memorial Day Weekend

What a fun Memorial day weekend we had. James gets every other friday off and it happen to fall on the already long weekend. so he had4 days off. Its so much fun to have him home extra time.
We went to my parents Lot to play with my family, except most of my family didn't show up. Kat's family was sick, Bills family was sick, Ann's family came but withought Ann because she was sick. And after all the fun we had, I was starting to get sick on the way home (a cold, but James thinks is Allergies).

MAx on his first 4-wheeler ride. He didn't love it and he didn't hate it. I bet he didn't even know he was moving.

My Mom, Will, Karay and Tyson after a ride. They where our friends up at the lot.

A crazy accident we saw on the way home. Very freaky. We asked if they were ok, and it was almost like they didn't care it happen. They were all ok. I just don't know how you roll That big of a car over on such a narrow road. We passed at least 7 emergancy vehicles coming down, 7!! No one was hurt.

Growing Up

Max can now roll onto his tummy from his back. He hates it there so he just rolls right back. But this is a big accomplishment. He has been able to do it but it just hasn't sparked his brain until last week. This is a good thing for me as well. He expects me to be right by his side all the time and entertain him. Him rolling over has increades his mobility.

He has tried solid food. The best part of it is when he gags on it. He is still learning to like it but he doesn't hate it. What he really liked was when I gave him an orange peel. He went crzy for it.

Mothers Day

I had a wonderful Mothers Day. I came home from Park City that day to a clean house (cleaner then I left it) and a gift card from James. What a wonderful husband I have. Thanks James. What a great first Mothers Day.

Max trying to grab the camera. he gets so serious when he tries to grab things.
My Baby is growing up so fast. He is starting to sit on his own. He is also getting so eager to eat real food. He has tasted a few things and loves them.

Weirdo's down town. That moose was wearing high heals. Kind of weird.

This weekend #2 in Park City. I am prettty lucky if you ask me. Nothing but fun in my life.
My family has a tradition when someone has a baby the girls go celebrate (when the baby is old enough of course). So since I had a baby in December and My sister Katy had a baby in November, we celebrated. The only chanllenging thing was Max and Alaina don't eat on the same schedual so we had to juggle that around.
Friday we went shopping. You have to go shopping when you go up there. We were all so excited about going shopping. Caroline and I didn't find much for ourselves but we did stock up for our families.
WE stayed in a condo in Heber by the lake. I got the Master bedroom because I have the nosy baby at night. He still hasn't mastered sleeping at night. And when we are away he sleeps even worse. So I got about 3 or 4 hours (not in a row) a sleep each night. Boy was I tired.
The next day we went to the Olympic park to do the Zip Line. Can I say WOW! that got our hearts racing. It was so much fun.

Ann and Caroline going up the lift for the Zip Line. Mom and Katy were in front of them. I rode alone :(

Mom and Katy ready to go down. It was so funny to hear them scream. Mostly my Mom.

Ann and Caroline getting ready to go down the zip line. Can you tell we were scared?

Me Takeing a picture of me to prove I really went down.

Scared Max

I just love this video. Max gets scared so easily. In this video James is drilling the sheet rock and it scares Max. This is why Max and I can't help James that much. He crys every time James sneezes, or when someone talks or laughs loud. I know most babies would be scared by this but he seems to be a little more sensitive. Its kind of cute.

Girls Trip#1

So I made some new friends over the weekend on a all girls (and Max) trip to Heber. My Awesome neighbor invited us up to her in-laws cabin for a laid back weekend. She brought up 2 big tables and all us girls laid out our projects, watched movies, ate, and talked. It can't get any better then that.
On the way down there Max and I followed Ashlie's car down, who had everyone else in with her. I was keeping a close eye on her, but the one time I lose vision of her was when I needed to get off the freeway. I looked to my right and there they were, on the exit ramp. Oh great I thought. I am going to be lost, which is not what I needed becasue I had a crying baby in my car and was started to get hungry. Long story short, I found my way back. I had no trouble coming home and Max slept the whole way home like I wanted.
Thanks girls for the fun trip. And thanks for letting Max come. He loved all the attention.
This coming weekend I am back to Heber for another girls trip but with my family. I am so lucky.

The Scales have been tipped

Max went in for his 4 month check up yesterday which was good day for me and a bad day for him. He started to cry every time the nurses came in. They would come running in trying to rush everything which Max could tell and it scared him. He would give me a look of "save me" which I just love that he wants me. That he trust's me. It is such a great feeling. Anyways, as soon as the Dr came in, he was in love. He gave him smiles and jumped around and even tried to grab him several times.
Max's New Stats.
Weight- 50%
Height- 95%
Head- ??? They don't tell you this one.

So Max has an average weight for his age but it means he is skinny for his height, if this makes any sense.... I will take credit for his height. But who knows how long it will last.

A Present for Me from Me.

We FINALLY got curbing. It wasn't a need, but more of a want. This is why we waited 3 years to get it. I finally did it. now we can tell where the grass ends and the weeds pick up. hehehe

Curbing on the side of the house.

Curbing in the back of our house

Curbing in the back yard. And yes that is James mowing our lawn for the first time this year.

Part II

James went on a "Mans Trip" with the men in my family which left all the girls home alone. I headed out to Saratogoa Springs to visit my sister Ann because I never make it out that far. We met up in SLC for some shopping. She asked me what I wanted to do and I said "I want to go shopping in a big mall", and we did. I later went to a baby shower at Eagle Mnt. for one of James friends Sara (who we met up with in DC) who just adopted a big cute baby girl. All the girls there told me stories about James in collage. Later the next day we went to the LAyton park and fed the ducks. So much fun!

This is my Nephew Tyson hitting on the ladies at JC Pennies. He kept touching them.

This is my Sister Ann and her 2 kids and are about to get on there merry go round at south town mall. Her kids were in heaven. Thanks for taking me shopping Ann.

This is Ann and Max at the Layton park. Max just had to hold something so we gave him celery. He didn't really like the taste of it but it wasn't bad enough for him to quite eating it.

Just a happy Max. He is always so happy when he wakes up.

Catching Up

I keep trying to find something cool or funny to blog about but nothing like that has happen. I don't want to just post pictures of Max and talk only of Max because(unless its something really cool) its just not that interesting all the time. So I look at my pictures and all I have pictures of are Max. That is just my life. My life is about Max and I love it! But I will try to keep it interesting. This is why I have not posted much.
I will play catch up for the past little bit.

This is Easter at my families home. I like this picture cause I caught my Niece in the air trying to beat her cousin's to the candy.

Max just hung out with his cousin Jace during the Easter Egg Hunt. We didn't plan on dressing the same. I think those are the only clothes out there for boys.

Max had fun playing pool at James family Easter party. We put the big out to catch anything that might come up to keep that table nice and clean. But unfortuntly we were unsuccessful. It came out of his pants instead.

The guy in the middle (Eli) gave us a visit on Easter. We met him through one of my Cousins. He is from California and is like a Brother to us. I told him to start steeling candy from the kids to see what they did because he is kind of intimidating looking. But his heart is to big and would not do that.

Basement

James has been working so hard on the basement for the bast several months. He had a goal to get it done by the baby blessing but we didn't quit make it. I think he lost his excitment for it. Now he back on the ball. He has started sheet rocking it. He has done most of the work himself (which he is proud of) except for the plumbing. This is a dream come true for him. He is making it exactly how he wants it.

Baby Max

First Comes Love, then comes marriage, the comes a baby in a baby carriage.
2 weeks after Max was born my other Sister-in-Law, Melissa Kelsey (and hubby Todd. Check her out) drove up to meet Max. for my baby gift Melissa gave me a photo shoot. I was so excited. After having prego pictures and now Baby pictures, I felt so spoiled (and still do)... Anyways, she took these at our house to. I never thought a chair, basket and my bare walls could look so cute. It was so fun. I just can't belive he was so small. I don't know how I took care of him. I guess I am posting these pictures to show off what cool stuff my family can do, show the pride I have for my Son (so weird to say), and to reflect on what I once was and had.
Thanks Melissa. So excited for the next batch.
