The Big 1

Max had his first birthday last month. We were all so excited but I did find myself kind of having a hard time. It seems like once they are one you have to let go of them and let them grow up. I keep telling myself, we will have many more good birthdays with him. We did survive though. Max loved his birthday. he had lots of visitors and it was a non stop party.

 

Max with his really cool toys from Grandma Bourgeous and
me. I got him a coat. Only the coolest present ever. Grandma came up to help me get ready for the party and Christmas since they are almost the same day.

 

He didn't get into the cake right away like I thought. If you know Max, then you know he is a pig. The frosting was a new thing for him to touch. I don't let him play with his food to much (can you blame me?). But once he figured it out, he was in heaven. He really liked the ice cream.

 

Blake came over to play. Max lit right up when Blake came in the door. He is our new neighbor. Max gets in his space and I think it kind of bugs blake but I don't blame him.

 

We also had a visit from the Bourgeous family (My brothers family). Max just loved following them around. When he saw them all walking he gave up the crawling (but that quickly changed). He just loves his cousins. They are so good to him.... This picture is Reed being silly, and David is behind him. My mom is in the back ground.
